Social Producer
Film what happens at Absurd, cut it the same day, run the accounts
We're looking for someone to film what happens at Absurd. You'd spend your time in the office and on set, and you'd shoot, edit, post, and manage the accounts yourself. Most of the work is vertical video, usually cut the same day.
There are finished films to promote, and much of the material comes from the process around them: rehearsals, production problems, creative decisions, the conversations, and everything else that goes into making the work.
You should know when something is worth filming, how long the finished video should be, and when to put the camera down.
What you'd do
- Film in the office and on set.
- Edit and publish quickly, often the same day.
- Run the accounts and the publishing calendar: captions, replies, and how each post performs.
- Find the stories in the production process and turn them into short videos.
- Work with the studio team without slowing down a shoot.
- Let what people watch, share, and respond to decide what you make next.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of video made for social platforms.
- You can shoot, you can edit, and you can finish without a crew for either.
- Judgment about what's interesting, what's funny, what's useful, and what to leave out.
- You know how the platforms differ and you post accordingly.
- Comfortable filming when things are busy, uncertain, or unfinished.
- Fast, reliable, and barely attached to footage that isn't working.
